Warwick Jones was educated at Cape Town. After national military call-up in 1962, he studied chartered accountancy at Wits University and served articles before moving into law where he completed his articles at Van Hulsteyns in Johannesburg and was admitted as an attorney in 1974. Thereafter he practiced in Harare and Bulawayo until 1979. During this time he served briefly with the Grey's Scouts.
He then returned to Johannesburg where he has been in sole practice ever since, practicing mainly in general litigation, crime, commercial and matrimonial law.
The practice was relocated from Johannesburg to Sandton in 2004. He has studied further at UNISA, University of Pretoria and at the University of Johannesburg.
